Arimidex (Anastrozole) is a medication used to treat breast cancer. Arimidex (Anastrozole) is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). It works by blocking the effects of estrogen on the endocrine cells in the breast. This helps reduce the growth of cancer cells while also slowing down the progression of the disease. Arimidex (Anastrozole) is not typically prescribed to patients with breast cancer, but it may be prescribed by healthcare providers to treat symptoms of the disease or by decreasing the risk of cancer recurrence. It is also used to help treat hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Arimidex (Anastrozole) works by blocking the effects of estrogen on the estrogen receptors in breast tissue. It also helps reduce the risk of cancer recurrence in patients with estrogen-sensitive breast cancer. This medication is used to treat high blood pressure and to reduce the risk of developing heart disease, as well as other conditions.

It is important to note that Arimidex is not used to treat breast cancer. It can be used alone or in combination with other medications to treat the same condition.
